I realized that forcing a painting to be “done” simply to meet a deadline was the opposite of what this collection stands for.

So, some of the works you’ll see at the opening are unfinished.
Intentionally. Unapologetically.
Not because I ran out of time—
but because I ran into truth.

These pieces now belong to what I’m calling The Unfinished Wing:
Paintings still becoming. Stories still being written. Emotions still unfolding.
Half the show is polished. Half is raw.
Just like me.

Not about perfection. About presence.

So if you come, you’ll see both:
The glow of completion and the shimmer of what's still in motion.

And if a piece speaks to you, finished or not—then maybe it’s already whole.

Thanks for walking this unfolding path with me.
I’ll be at the opening. And I’d love to see you there.

With love,
Ivette

Emotional Landscapes

https://www.ivettefineart.com/journal/emotional-landscapes

https://www.ivettefineart.com/journal/emotional-landscapes#comments

Uncategorized

There’s a quiet kind of magic that happens in the early hours—when light first meets the mountains, and the sky becomes a canvas of shifting color and mood.
